Graphite, bodycolor and watercolor, 20 cm x 26,5 cm.

We had the opportunity to discover this beautiful watercolor last week in an Antiques Fair in Brussels, Belgium .

We see e.a. at the left: the European Common Frog (Rana temporaria) and at the right: the Marsh Frog (Pelophylax ridibunda). Further at the lower left the Stag Beetle (Lucanus cervus) an the common cockchafer (Melolontha melolontha) appearing every year in the month of May and at the right: different lacewings (Planipennia), finally some grasshoppers (Caelifera).

Latest frog discovery in the Andes (South America): mini frog 11mm.
