This watercolour by Anne Redpath will be sold in Edingburgh, Scotland on May 29th.
Redpath was born in Galashiels as a the daughter of a textile designer,
she studied from 1913 at Edinburgh College of Art .

After marrying an architect, James Beattie Michie (1891–1959), in 1920, she moved to France, where she lived until returning to Edinburgh in 1934.

She became President of the Scottish Society of Women Artists (1944-7), and she was a member to the Royal Scottish Academy in 1947.
