Eduard Bargheer studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg (Germany) in 1918, and in 1924 at the 'Kunstschule Gerda Koppel' under Friedrich Ahlers-Hestermann. In 1929 Eduard Bargheer became a member of the 'Hamburger Sezession'.
A retrospective of Bargheer's works took place at the Hamburg 'Kunsthaus' on the occassion of his 75th birthday in 1976. In 1979 Bargheer died at the age of 78 in Blankenese (Hamburg, Germany), the city of his birth.
